Curriculum Design

Our curriculum has been designed to build professional management and leadership skills for current and future leaders. Parts of our curriculum have been used to provide professional management training for over 10,000 managers over the past 50 years. Others parts of our curriculum have been newly created specifically for this new leadership development model.

Curriculum level: Our curriculum has been designed for “high potentials”, long-time managers, and first time managers who are ready to go beyond the basics. This is not an “introduction to management 101” program.

Length of the program: because the most effective development is an ongoing process vs occasional training events our leadership development programs have been designed to run for six, nine, or twelve months.

Weekly time commitment: our program has been designed to require just over an hour a week or 4 to 6 hours a month. More time than this becomes too much workload for busy managers and less time doesn’t lead to any behavioral changes.

Length of any single program item: During the year, leaders meet for up to 24 one hour “team-up” group conference calls. The team-up sessions are held every two weeks at a scheduled time agreed by the group; this is the longest time commitment in the program. All other assignments are 30 minutes or less unless the participants want to invest more of their time.

What’s included in the one year curriculum: We can send you a detailed curriculum overview or have one of our leadership e-coaches walk you through one of our modules in detail but we have included curriculum that in our experience with tens of thousands of managers is critical to the success of any manager or leader.
